Our Story: How R&K Kustom painting Was Born

  R&K Kustoms isnt just a business. Its a story of resilience, love, and a deep passion for creating beauty- even in lifes darkest moments.

A few years ago, my wife kimmy and i were facing one of the hardest battles of our lifes. I had been diagnosed with cancer. It was a terrifying time filled with uncertainty, doctors, test, and ultimately an 8hr surgery at UC Davis. A robotic team of surgeons carefully removed a cancerous lymphnode from my neck- and thankfully they got it all.

Recovery was tough. There was fear, pain, and a lot of downtime. But in that stillness,  something unexpected happened. I found my self picking up the brush again. Art had always been a part of me. But life had pushed it aside. Now, it became my therapy, my escape,  my healing.

Kimmy stood by me through it all - pushing, encouraging, believing. Together we turned this second chance in to something meaningful. And thats how R&K was born: from a place of survival, creativity,  and love. The "R" is for me and the "K" is for her. This is our dream - built from the ground up, one brush stroke at a time.

Now, we are bringing that same heart, care,  and dedication in to every project we tuch. Whether its a mural, custom piece, or specialty paint job.
